Manhattan skyscraper wrapped in 200,000 laser-cut aluminium bricks

Russian studio Meganom used more than 200,000 custom laser-cut aluminium elements to create a brickwork-patterned facade for 262 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

Why it mattersThe project demonstrates that bespoke facade fabrication at massive scale is achievable, and may push architects to reconsider standard curtain-wall glazing on future towers.
