Sources & Editorial
Where our insights come from, and how we credit them.
How InSnip works
InSnip is a news-insight service. We do not report the news ourselves. We read publicly available reporting from established publishers and write short, source-backed insights that link you straight to the original. Every card names its publisher, links to the original article, and shows the full publication date. Open any card's Intelligence panel to see the complete source trail behind it.
How we choose sources
- We draw on established, reputable Australian and international publishers, official bodies, and specialist outlets.
- Where a story is contested, we favour reporting that is corroborated across independent outlets.
- We always credit and link the original source so you can read it in full and judge it yourself.
Publishers we draw on
A non-exhaustive selection of the sources our insights are built from:
- ABC News Australia
- BBC
- Associated Press
- Australian Bureau of Statistics
- Reserve Bank & Treasury
- CSIRO
- Bureau of Meteorology
- Australian Securities Exchange
- ACCC, ASIC & APRA
- Ars Technica
- Aeon
- Cricket Australia & AFL
Every card links its own source
The definitive source for any insight is the original article linked on that card. If a publisher is not listed above, that does not mean we do not use it: the per-card link and Intelligence panel are always the authoritative record of where a story came from.
How we write, and how we fix mistakes
Every InSnip insight is written from published reporting and grounded in a linked source. We use software, including AI, to help draft and check our summaries, and every card is held to the same source-backed standard before it ships: a claim that cannot be traced to a credible source does not run. InSnip is an independent Australian product, and we stand behind what we publish.
If we get a fact wrong, we want to fix it. Email support@insnip.com and we will correct the record promptly, and note significant corrections on the card itself.
Corrections & takedowns
We respect publishers' rights. If you are a rights holder and would like a summary corrected, attributed differently, or removed, email support@insnip.com and we will respond promptly. See also our Privacy & Content Policy.
